Technology: Cold Fusion, VB, SQL Server, HTML
Time Frame: April 1996 - March 1997
This program was created to dynamically schedule patients for a given list of procedures. After the
program finds a suitable scheduling solution, it will enter the information via OLE automation into
Schedule Plus. Once in Schedule Plus, the user can modify the data and resync it with the data
on the SQL Server side.
This screen gives the user the ability to query all appointments in the database based on specified parameters.
The patient data entry form and query tool is represented here. The execution of the latter steps
of the procedure depends upon the cell growth rate. Each patient has a graph associated with their
current cell growth rate.
Although there is only one project currently being used for a scheduling template, this program has the
ability for the user to enter several templates for ongoing trials. This makes the program a lot
more versatile since they can now use the existing scheduling algorithms to schedule different projects.
It's very simple to create a predefined schedule for a specific patient. Through the use of
this screen, the user can choose a patient, a start date and an appropriate project. Once these variables
have been selected, the program will search for valid timeslots until it finds a suitable solution.
This is what the program displays when it has found a suitable solution for the patient's schedule. The program
queries all available room resources and comes back with a schedule if it complies with the projects constraints. The user
can then choose to book this schedule or go back and try again for a different time period.
