Parsons needed a resource management application to track projects and their associated resource forecast hours. Data originates in Oracle and is loaded into SQL Server on a scheduled basis where it is augmented with the forecast data. Rollout and training on this application started in December 2006 and it is used by a large base of project managers throughout the company.
This page shows the list of projects which belong to the currently logged in
user.
This page shows the forecast hours for a project across all resources on the project. The user can update forecast hours for any selected fiscal years as long as the forecast periods occur in the future.
This page allows the user to add resources to a project. Resources can be
added by searching the entire resource pool, or generic resources can be used as temporary placeholders.
Sometimes projects need to be transitioned to other projects setup in the system. This page allows the transfer of information from one project to another, preserving all forecasts.
This is the resource detail page, which allows the user to see and edit details on any of the selected resources on a project.
This page shows the project search functionality, giving the user an easy way to find the project they need to work with.
